If Oktoberfest had a hometown headquarters in Columbiana County, it would be Birdfish Brewing. Started by four friends who turned years of home brewing into a real-deal brewery, Birdfish has been pouring "righteous beer for the righteous kind" since 2015. They are known for rotating taps, creative small-batch experiments, and a real love for local farms, with malt and hops that have come from growers just down the road.

This month, the taproom on East Park Avenue goes full biergarten. Birdfish is throwing Oktoberfest across two weekends, September 19 and 20 and September 26 and 27, with German food, fall pours, and that easygoing small-town vibe that makes you want to stay for one more round. Grab a seat on the patio, catch whatever food truck is parked outside, and settle in.
