Hi YoTown Friends! π
This isΒ theΒ weekend. America's 250th birthday. Red, white, and blue everything. Fireworks over the Valley. Parades down Main Street. Grills fired up in every backyard from Poland to Canfield to Columbiana.
Freedom looks good on us, YoTown. Let's celebrate it right. β¨

π Red, White & YoTown: The Weekend at a Glance
FRIDAY, July 3
First Fridays goes full America 250. Downtown Youngstown comes alive with food, retail, live music on N. Phelps and at the Apollo, plus speakeasy-style building tours at Ohio One. History meets celebration, 5β8 p.m.
Over in Canfield, the Fairgrounds open at 5 p.m. for family-friendly fireworks, inflatables, live entertainment, and concessions.
Fireworks light up the sky at 9:45 p.m. Free admission.
SATURDAY, July 4 β Independence Day πΊπΈ
Parades everywhere. Austintown kicks off at noon (Raccoon & Kirk). Canfield's parade circles the Green at 10:10 a.m. Gustavus Homecoming starts at 9 a.m. with turtle races, tot kings and queens, and a kiddie tractor pull to follow.
Columbiana's going big at Firestone Park (11 a.m.β10 p.m.) with games, food, live music, and a drone show + fireworks after dark. It's a 250 Years of Freedom blowout.
SUNDAY, July 5
Ignite the Night Youngstown. The Youngstown Symphony Orchestra performs live at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre and Wean Park along the Mahoning River, followed by a fireworks finale over downtown. Gates at 6 p.m., show runs until 10:30 p.m. Bring your blanket.
All weekend βΒ Mill Creek Park, backyard cookouts, sparklers with the kids, and that one uncle who always brings the good fireworks. (Check with Mom first. Or don't. We're a newsletter, not the police.)
πΎ Good Dog Roll Call
Even dogs deserve their independence β specifically, independence from a kennel and a one-way ticket to your couch. These two sweeties are ready to celebrate freedom in a home that actually loves them.

Adoptable dogs from Mahoning County Dog Warden
Local Eats Spotlight: Kabob House
Fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor β Kabob House serves up the kind of food that makes you forget you ever settled for boring. The ultimate in friendly service and hospitality, because good food tastes even better when the people serving it actually care. Perfect for a post-parade feast or when you need a break from hot dogs.
β¨ Look Cookout-Ready
Skin Solution MedSpa
Summer sun, outdoor parties, and approximately 47 family photos this weekend. If your skin's been on the back burner, now's the time. Skin Solution MedSpa delivers real treatment plans β medical aesthetics, no surgery required β with results visible in as little as three months. Walk into the long weekend looking like the best version of you.

Summer damage and wrinkles CAN be reversed, naturally. No fillers, no injections, just a YOUNGER you!
Your Pre-Parade Reset
Youngstown Head Spa
Before you brave the crowds, the heat, and Aunt Linda's unsolicited opinions about your life choices, give yourself 90 minutes of pure escape. The signature Head Spa Experience includes scalp detox, exfoliation, stimulating massage, aromatherapy, warm steam therapy, and neck-and-shoulder tension relief. You'll walk out ready to celebrate freedom β starting with freedom from stress.
Protect Your Freedom to Relax
Nothing says "Happy 4th of July" like realizing your homeowner's policy hasn't been reviewed since 2019. Preston Moore and the team at Moore Family Insurance (your local Allstate agency) offer 20-minute coverage reviews that actually make sense β auto, home, renters, boat, motorcycle, business, life. Think of it as independence from wondering if you're covered. Spoiler: you probably should double-check.
How to Reclaim Your Holiday Weekendβ¦
Here's a radical idea: spend the 4th of JulyΒ celebratingΒ instead of scrubbing baseboards. All Spruced Up offers recurring home cleaning β weekly, biweekly, or monthly β with the same trusted cleaner every time, automatic scheduling, and your weekends back.
Guest-ready home, zero effort. Recurring slots are limited, so if you're ready to declare independence from housework, now's the moment.
All Spruced Up Cleaning Company
π§ Freedom From Drama, Plumbing Drama
The only thing that should be bursting this weekend is fireworks β not your water heater. 1-800-Plumber +Air Youngstown handles plumbing, drain cleaning, leaks, water heaters, heating, cooling, and emergency service for homes and businesses. β‘ Emergency services available, because clogs don't respect holidays.
Quick homeowner Q&A:Β Why does my toilet gurgle when I flush?
Usually means there's a blockage in your drain line or vent stack. Air can't escape properly, so it bubbles back up through the bowl. Not an emergency yet β but it's your toilet's way of saying "call someone before this gets ugly."

Donβt let bursting water heaters rain on your parade this 4th of July.
π‘ Find Your Independence
Hailey Ditullio Has the Keysβ¦
Nothing says freedom like keys to a home you actually love. Hailey Ditullio knows the Poland, Boardman, and Canfield markets inside and out β the good streets, the tricky ones, and which houses are worth a second look. Whether you're buying your first place or finally upgrading, she'll make sure you're not just moving, you're movingΒ up.
π΄ Celebrate on Two Wheels
Cruise the Creek E-Bikes
Mill Creek Park in full summer bloom, a long weekend ahead, and an e-bike that handles the hills so you don't have to. Cruise the Creek's e-bike rentals make it easy for everyone β kids, Grandpa, your friend who "doesn't really bike" β to keep up and actually enjoy the ride. Date night, family outing, solo escape: all good options. The only rule: get outside.
π Good News Around the Valley
Only nice things, as always. Here's what's going right in YoTown:

57 nonprofitsΒ in its first grant cycle of 2026, supporting everything from foster youth programs to mobile meals. (CFMV)

(Wean Foundation)
