🎆 Red, White & YoTown: The 4th Weekend Sneak Peek
The Valley's biggest day: the Canfield Firecracker 4-miler run at sunrise (ok 8:15), a classic hometown parade mid-morning, live music on the green, and food trucks + fireworks downtown after dark…
…just a few ideas to kick off your 4th…pick your passion:
All weekend — Patios, cookouts, and lake days. The only rule: get outside.
🐾 Good Dog Roll Call
This week's Good Dog Roll Call comes courtesy of the Mahoning County Dog Warden.
Nothing says "all-American summer" like a dog riding shotgun to the cookout. 🇺🇸🐶
🍽️ Local Eats Spotlight: YOSTERIA
Tucked into Smoky Hollow, Yosteria feels like a little trip to Italy without leaving Youngstown. From house-made pasta and regional Italian dishes to cozy wine-filled evenings, it's the kind of place that turns dinner into an experience. 🍝🍷 Plus they have music!
✨ Look Cookout-Ready
Skin Solution MedSpa
Fourth of July weekend means cookouts, pool parties, and a whole lot of group photos that end up on the fridge until next summer. Skin Solution MedSpa in Boardman helps you walk into all of it looking refreshed and confident — medical aesthetics and skin services with a real plan behind them, no surgery required. Brighter, smoother, camera-ready, just in time for the holiday.
💆 Recover From the Holiday Hustle
Youngstown Head Spa
Hosting is fun. Hosting is also exhausting. After the cookout's cleaned up and the last sparkler's burned out, give yourself (or the family member who did all the work) an hour where nobody needs anything. The Signature Head Spa Experience in Boardman is scalp detox, massage, warm steam, aromatherapy, and neck-and-shoulder relief — the reset you'll wish you'd booked sooner.
🛡️ Grill, Boat & Fireworks — All Covered
Moore Family Insurance
The 4th brings out the boat, the motorcycle, the brand-new grill, and a backyard full of people. Before the holiday hits, Preston Moore with Moore Family Insurance in Canfield can run a 20-minute review of your auto, home, boat, motorcycle, business, and life coverage — so the only thing exploding this weekend is the fireworks. It's the most underrated holiday gift on the market: peace of mind.
🧹 Host-Ready Without Lifting a Finger
All Spruced Up Cleaning Co
Nobody wants to spend July 3rd scrubbing baseboards before the company arrives — or July 5th cleaning up after them. All Spruced Up Cleaning Co handles both, so you walk into a holiday weekend with a guest-ready home and walk out of it without the cleanup hangover. Same trusted cleaner every time, automatic scheduling, your weekends back all summer long.
🔧 Don't Let Plumbing Crash the Cookout
1-800-Plumber +Air Youngstown
A clogged drain or a dead AC has a special talent for picking the hottest holiday weekend of the year. 1-800-Plumber +Air Youngstown handles plumbing, drain cleaning, leaks, water heaters, heating, cooling, and emergency service — including the emergencies that always seem to land on the 4th. Save the number now, show it to a friend later.
FAQ: "Why is my drain making a gurgling sound?"
That gurgle is usually air escaping where it shouldn't. The most common culprits:
A partial clog forcing air past the blockage
A blocked or improperly vented plumbing system
Issues further down the main line
A single gurgling drain is often a local clog. But if multiple drains gurgle at once, that points to a venting or main-line issue worth having looked at before it becomes a backup.
Hearing it in your home?
Don't ignore it, drop us a message and we'll help you figure out the cause.
🏡 More Yard for the Party?
Hailey Ditullio — Howard Hanna
Every 4th of July cookout has the moment someone looks around the backyard and says "we need more space." If that conversation's getting serious at your house, Hailey Ditullio knows the Poland, Boardman, and Canfield markets inside out — and mid-summer is peak season with fresh listings and motivated buyers. More yard, bigger garage, a deck made for fireworks-watching: she'll help you find it.

🚴 Roll Into the 4th
Cruise the Creek E-Bikes
Beat the holiday traffic and see the Valley the fun way. Cruise the Creek E-Bikes gets the whole family — kids to Grandpa — gliding through Mill Creek Park on the prettiest trails around, with e-assist on the hills so nobody gets left behind. It's the Independence Day activity that beats sitting in a lawn chair: fresh air, gorgeous views, and a memory the crew will talk about all summer.
Get on your bike! If you don’t have one, we have one FOR you!
