π° YoTown Goes Nude for Summer πβ¨
Summer starts now. At least, that's how Memorial Day weekend makes us feel.
So in honor of the pending heat waves, weβve stripped down our newsletter to give you the bare essentials for summer. No fancy fluff - just the good stuff. Hope you like it!
πΊπΈ The Long Weekend Is Here
Memorial Day has a way of flipping a switch in the Valley. One minute everyone's still talking about spring weather, and the next, pools are opening, grills are coming out of storage, and the calendar suddenly looks a lot more full.
But before all the backyard hangs and day drinking begins β we pause. This weekend started as a day to honor the people who didn't come home. That still matters. Youngstown knows sacrifice. We don't forget.
Now here's what's happening.

ποΈ FEATURED: Boardman Memorial Day Parade
Monday, May 25 Β· Starts at 10 AM
Starts at Boardman Center Intermediate, heads up Market Street, ends at Boardman Township Park. After that, there's a service at Maag Outdoor Theatre.
It's not complicated. It's not flashy. It's just one of those local traditions that feels right. Grab a spot on the sidewalk, wave at the veterans, let the kids see what showing up looks like.
πͺ FEATURED: Mitch and Cindy's Music Festival
FridayβSaturday, May 22β24 Β· Trumbull County Fairgrounds
Three days of live music at the fairgrounds. Seldom Scene, Clay Hess Band, Kevin Prater Band, Lincoln Nash & Heather Alley Band, and more. If you're into bluegrass, folk, or just spending the weekend outside with good music, this is your move.
π€ FEATURED: Men's Rally 2026 at Covelli Centre
Saturday, May 23 Β· 8 AM Β· Covelli Centre, Youngstown
Michael W. Smith headlines. Everyone is welcome. This is one of the bigger gatherings downtown this weekend β expect energy, expect a crowd, expect parking to be interesting.
π‘ Thinking About Moving This Year?
Warm weather, open houses, and the homes people have been waiting to see
Sunshine does something to Youngstown. People get out, neighborhoods feel alive again, and all of a sudden, that βmaybe somedayβ conversation about buying or selling a house gets a little more serious.
If youβve been thinking about making a move this year, this is a smart time to start the conversation with Hailey Ditullio.
The market gets busy fast when the weather gets nice. Buyers are out looking. Sellers are cleaning up yards, opening windows, and getting homes ready to show. Around here, timing matters, and so does having someone who understands the local neighborhoods, the pace of the market, and what buyers are actually looking for.
Hailey can help you get clear on what your next move should look like, whether youβre buying your first home, selling, upgrading, downsizing, or just trying to figure out what your house may be worth.
π΅ FEATURED: Memorial Weekend Kickoff
FridayβSunday, May 22β25 Β· Mines and Meadows ATV, Wampum PA
Kicking off the long weekend with riding, camping, and live entertainment. If ATVs and outdoor weekends are your thing, this is where the Valley goes.
π§Ή Let Someone Else Handle the House
When the weekend is packed, the house does not have to be one more thing
Warm weather in Youngstown means everything starts happening at once. Sports, graduation parties, cookouts, Motherβs Day leftovers, open houses, yard work, errands, and somehow the house still needs cleaned.
Thatβs where All Spruced Up Cleaning Co comes in.
Paige and her team help busy families and homeowners keep their homes feeling clean, calm, and handled without having to spend the whole weekend catching up. They offer professional residential and commercial cleaning across the Mahoning Valley, with a focus on consistency, discretion, and standards that do not slip.
And locals know this is the season when the house starts getting used differently. Doors are open. Kids are in and out. Guests stop by. The kitchen gets busy. The floors take a beating. A good cleaning service is not just about a pretty house. It is about getting some breathing room back.
If your weekends are already packed, let All Spruced Up take cleaning off your plate.
π¬ FEATURED: Free Movie in the Park
Thursday, May 22 Β· 8 PM Β· Cascade Park, New Castle PA
First of six free outdoor movies this summer. Bring a blanket, bring the kids, bring snacks. Classic summer-in-the-Valley vibes.
π‘οΈ Summer's Coming β Is Your Insurance Ready?
More driving. More cookouts. More projects around the house. More reasons to hope nothing breaks, leaks, crashes, or catches fire.
Before life gets busy, make sure the important stuff is covered
When the weather gets nice, people are out driving more, opening pools, getting boats and motorcycles ready, hosting family, working on houses, and making summer plans.
It is a good time to make sure your insurance still matches your actual life.
Moore Family Insurance in Canfield can help with auto, home, renters, motorcycle, business, life insurance, and more. They are a local Allstate agency located at 545 N Broad St in Canfield, and you can call them at 330-533-3555.Β
This is not the most glamorous thing on the weekend list, we get it. But it is one of those adult things that matters when something goes sideways. Around here, between storms, potholes, deer, busy roads, home projects, and small businesses growing, it is worth having someone review your coverage before you need it.
Call Preston Moore and ask for a coverage review.
Moore Family Insurance in Canfield does auto, home, renters, motorcycle, business, life β basically anything you need covered.
π§ Save This Number Before Something Breaks
Plumbing doesn't care that it's Memorial Day weekend. Neither does your water heater. Or your AC when the house is full of people.
A warm, packed weekend in Youngstown is for patios, ball games, yard work, events, and maybe finally getting outside without three layers on.
It is not for dealing with a clogged drain, leaking water heater, backed-up toilet, or AC that decides to act up right when the house is full.
1-800-Plumber +Air of Youngstown handles plumbing, drain cleaning, water heaters, leaks, sewer services, heating, cooling, and emergency plumbing services. Their local Youngstown number is 330-597-0601.Β
This is one of those numbers worth saving before you need it. Because nobody wants to be Googling plumbers while water is on the floor or the AC is struggling during a packed weekend.
π Your Brain Needs a Break Too
Packed schedule. Tight shoulders. That low-grade stress that never fully goes away.
Youngstown Head Spa in Boardman does luxury scalp treatments β detox, exfoliation, massage, steam, aromatherapy, the whole thing.
β¨ How to Look 3-5 Years Younger, Instantly
Graduation parties. Weddings. Patios. All the photos nobody asked for but everyone's going to take anyway. If youβre not looking your best, a hydrofacial can give you the bright dewy glow that takes off a few years.
Skin Solution MedSpa in Boardman is a good starting point for clearer, brighter skin before summer hits full swing.
π A Local Race Worth Supporting
A local race worth showing up for, even if you are not the one racingβ¦
The Spring Classic Sprint Triathlon is coming up, and this is one of those local events that deserves more attention.
The race is scheduled for Sunday, June 14 at 7:30 AM and includes a 500-yard pool swim, 14-mile bike ride, and 5K run. It is open to individuals and teams, and registration is limited to the first 135 athletes.Β
This is a great first triathlon for someone who has been curious about trying one, but it is also a solid event for experienced athletes who want to compete close to home. And honestly, even if you are not racing, it is worth supporting. Local races bring people together, get people moving, and remind us that there are a lot of good, active things happening around here.
Steel Valley Triathlon Club also helps bring local triathletes together through training opportunities, social activities, and support of local races in Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.Β
